31 Days Of Monsters – Day 7 – Yesterday’s monster was long and thin, so I decided to go with squat and muscular. I mirrored his skull into the shape of his back muscles and got something fun started. He actually started with a huge mouth, but I made it smaller – but the tusks are the remnants of where the bottom of the old mouth was. I liked the tusks and used them instead. Im imagining that if you saw them in the dark you might mistake them for a bigger smile. The end result became a demonic/alienish happy monster. …Oh! Almost forgot – I decided to push this one’s shading a bit more with some cool grey prismacolor brush markers. Then I went back with a brush pen and did a little detail to pull it out of all that grey.
