Something a little different to post today. I just finished my entry to Drawing Tutorials Online’s contest “Self-Portrait.” I think it was a great way to push my art.
I love pencil and ink work. I love anatomy. I enjoy a touch of humor and a bit of the weird. And constantly, constantly, I have so many ideas to draw that they seem to buzz around my head at all times. This was a lot of fun to work on (and a LOT of work to finish it – lol)! Really enjoyed having the opportunity to work on this and explore new routes in my work. Pencil for the actual portrait, micron pens for the background. And then a little bit of photoshop to push and pull the background mainly.
