Big happenings going on here! First off, and most importantly, my wife and I had our first child, Alexander just over 2 weeks ago. Your life really does change when you welcome a new addition to your family. Many sleepless nights, lots of on-the-job training if you will when it comes to caring for this fragile little life. And it is totally worth it! We are ecstatic over the birth of our son and every day is a new adventure.
That being said, my days (and nights) have been thrown into chaos as we have been up many nights and days feeding, cleaning, playing, and caring for our new little guy. So my blog (and some of my personal work) had to be put on the back-burner for a while. I’m gradually getting back into the swing of things now – taking on new work, returning to my own artwork, and now getting back to my blog.
My first new piece here is a knight standing at the edge of a watery cave. Had the image stuck in my head as I had watched a few movies recently that had me thinking of this scene. Can’t remember which movie had the scene with this particular pose that I liked, Excalibur? Anyways, I really dug the pose and had to get it down on paper before I forgot it.
