2015 Moleskines – part 1

I love working in moleskine sketchbooks!  There i said it.  I feel better now.

I’ve really taken to the pen and ink sketchbooks that moleskine puts out.  Mind you the pages haven’t been consistent in thickness from one to the other – at least that’s been the case for me.  But I still love working in them.

The moleskine pen & ink sketchbook that I’m working on now is one that I really want to put some time into and make some really nice pieces.  I’m about half way through at the time of this post.  Unfortunately, their pages don’t work so well for ink washes or marker – bleeds right through.  So it’s like I’m working with half the number of pages.  Kind of a bummer, but still, I’m really enjoying the pieces I’m coming up with in it.  It’s a smaller size sketchbook – 3.5 x 5.5 inches.  But I kinda like that.  Feels good to have something that I can easily tote around with me and work on when the mood hits.  Though I’m also lugging around a set of cool grey markers, a few micron pens, a brush pen, and a white gel pen.

I started on it in the middle of December and have made entries nearly every day and most days have been more than one.  Pretty good so far.

So, without further ado, here’s the first few sketches from this new pen & ink sketchbook:

These are the first six from the first two days working in this new sketchbook.  I’ll post more soon as I have many more sketches to share.

Stay tuned!
